Everything is coming along

I FINISHED the CrabApple Hill Design Heirloom Romance. I have named it Teach Only Love, it falls in line with a quote I placed on the quilt. It says "Teach only love, for that is what you are". It turned out so lovely. i had it professionally quilted by Laurie Gustafson and have tried to enter it into the Pacific West Quilt Show. It would just be an honor to be accepted. We will see what happens.

When all was said and done I will be 250-300 hours went into creating this piece. I used silk ribbon flowers, embroidery, paper piecing, crazy quilt stitches, beading and used my mothers heirloom hankies.

So now I am off to create a quilt fro Edyta Star. Her work is fabulous! I am thrilled to be creating two actually. I have Hop To It as well as Bon Voyage. All very exciting!!

I think my next post will highlight the Flower Pot Block of the month quilt that I completed. I am titled it Almost Alice's which is a funny story. It is currently with Laurie to be quilted!

I have not abandoned the silk ribbon embroidery. I taught a class last week and it was over the top fun!
